Requiring a photo only tells you a file was uploaded. It does not tell you the photo is current, that it is of the person holding the phone, or that it was not pulled from someone else’s Instagram. XoSeen closes that gap in three ways. First, the photo has to be head-to-toe, so the framing itself cannot hide what a cropped headshot hides. Second, a live camera check compares the person on camera right now against the photo they submitted, so a saved image alone cannot pass. Third, verification is enforced server-side and gates the product: unverified accounts never enter anyone’s discovery feed, so there is no unverified tier quietly sitting alongside the verified one. A photo requirement is a form field. This is a check you have to actually pass.

The live check produces a facial similarity comparison against the full-body photo you submitted. That comparison is what we keep the result of — verified or not verified — rather than keeping raw biometric templates around for other uses. We do not sell biometric data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train models for anyone else. Any government ID you provide during verification is stored encrypted and in a separate vault from your profile data, so a person browsing profiles is never one step away from your documents. You can request deletion of your account and its verification artefacts at any time, and the full retention periods and legal bases are written out in our Privacy Policy.

No. The badge is not a subscription perk and it is not for sale at any price — it is the output of the check, and the check runs on our servers rather than in the app, so it cannot be unlocked by editing anything on your device. Using someone else’s photos fails at the live step, because the camera moment has to match the photo you submitted.

You are seen by the people in your discovery pool, all of whom are verified themselves — XoSeen is not a public directory, and profiles are not indexed by search engines. Blind Date Mode goes further in the other direction: it connects you anonymously for 48 hours with no photos and no names at all, and the picture is only revealed when you both agree to reveal it.

It is our patent-pending verification method — the combination of the full-body capture, the automated authenticity analysis, and the live-camera confirmation that together produce the verified badge. It is the part of XoSeen that a competitor cannot copy by simply adding a photo upload field.
